Legislative Plaza - June 28

What was once an idea to go to all 95 counties and have HJR 803 read along with a time for prayer and repentance started on June 28 on Legislative Plaza in Nashville. Lots of planning, prayer, Zoom calls, phone calls, and emails came together as many people arrived in Nashville on Friday morning. 3 canopy tents along with speakers went into place in anticipation of who would arrive. We nervously believed people would come and they did. Believers in Christ Jesus came from across the state with expectant hearts ready to place a stake in the ground that we, the believers, would proclaim God Almighty as the only God. We would repent for our failure to be who God designed us to be. Because we, God's people, have compromised our State of Tennessee has suffered in many areas.

• We came to agree with the "Where As" statements in HJR 803.

• We came to agree that we could not expect the legislature to pass laws that would resolve our issues in the State of Tennessee.

• We came to agree that the State of Tennessee could not budget enough to resolve our issues.

• We came to agree that our State of Tennessee could not spend enough money to resolve our issues.

• We came knowing we needed a miracle to save our State and citizens. We needed a miracle from God Almighty.

• We came to repent and we came to declare our dependance on our Lord and Savior.

How resolved were the people who came? They stood in the heat at 11:30. They stood on the marble tiles that permeated the heat through the soles of their shoes. They stood as the sun glared down. They stood as what appeared to be the breath of God blew across them. They stood when most people would have retreated, but they stood. They listened to every speaker. They cried out to our Lord for His Mercy for our corporate sins. They prayed hoping the Lord would grant their petitions. And they gained hope as they looked around at all the people who just kept staying and kept praying realizing God was watching and they wanted Him to see their broken heart and resolve.

Drained because of the heat they left to take the word of repentance with them to their communities, cities, counties and churches. Their lives were changed and they were ready to keep moving forward not knowing what the full plan was but knowing they wanted a miracle from our Lord.

Please Lord hear our prayers, see our fasting, see our broken hearts, and please Lord accept these as an offering to you, the I AM who was, is, and forever will be.
